I came to a realization one day. I was looking through instagram at some people who do similar work that I do. And they’re making bank.

Like actually making money, not the people renting a fancy Airbnb and Ferrari for a weekend and shooting a video to make everyone think they’re killing it.

They’re living amazing lives, providing for their families and giving back in meaningful ways. I realized this while I was out in a cold garage making cold calls by the hundreds in the middle of winter.

These people are less qualified, less knowledgeable and less awesome than me.

They were just willing to ask for the money from everyone and land huge deals.

Since then I haven’t had a problem asking for the money.

Ask For More So You Can Give More

Isn’t it awesome when a client is literally raving about your work and how happy they are that they hired you?

This is the reaction I get from most clients now. I love being able to give my clients the very best.

But it wasn’t always this way.

I used to price my services low so I could be sure I’d land the deal. But I ran out of time, I had to make more and my clients suffered for it.

Lesson learned from this fiasco; ask for more than you think you can get, people have money and will pay for value.

When you have the money you need so you can put in the effort everyone wins.

Ask for more than you think you can get, you will be surprised how often it works out.
